U18 Milestone: Civil Rights Trip 2026

When: March 14th - 17th
Where: Memphis, TN

The youth ministry of Redemption Church will be traveling to the great city of Memphis, TN, for an immersive journey into the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. We think it is essential for our students to not only see the history of the Civil Rights Movement, but also to discuss and wrestle with how the Church (and in particular black liberation theology) gave the movement its imaginative framework.

There is limited room for this trip. 

What will we be doing? 

• The National Civil Rights Museum
• Beale Street
• Urban Hikes
• Reading and contemplating black liberation theology in our American context.
